Sometime I Forget to Wonder

I forget how big God is and how small I am.

"He looked down from his holy height;
from heaven the LORD looked at the earth"
{Psalm 102:19}

I forget my righteousness is only because of a sinless, bruised, blood-stained Son of God who became a Man

I forget that I am a created being

"And the vessel he was making of clay
was spoiled in the potter's hand,
and he reworked it into another vessel,
as it seemed good to the potter to do."
{Jer 18:4}

I forget, and so I forget to wonder ~
 and begin demanding...
   *I demand answers
   *I demand change
   *I demand my rights
   *I demand now

And then God graciously reminds me of who He is, and who I am, and what I am here to do.

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,

nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
{Romans 8}
